There are two sad truths I personally experienced in my IT professional career: 1. Enrolling in training centers to enhance your knowledge is expensive; and 2. Trainers who give these training courses are underpaid. In 2017, I envisioned providing training services that are way cheaper compared to the mainstream training centers but of outstanding quality. At the same time, trainers who teach the courses get paid double than what they get on the mainstream training centers. That’s when the idea of Pineda Cybersecurity came to life.
I processed all the necessary permits from DTI, Mayor’s Office and BIR. I secured various permits to operate. I created a course for ISO 27002 Foundation, which I am certified, printed the materials and boosted Facebook Ads to market the course. The first participants were mostly from the academe. Then the news spread and market increased. Participants from the industry and government also enrolled in the succeeding courses.
My goal is simple: Teach what you know best and spread the word. Trainers who teach are all from the SME’s in industry which gives the participants an assurance that the content and delivery are high-quality.
And the journey continues… I envision that Pineda Cybersecurity can help small-to-medium size enterprise in securing their businesses through affordable solutions.
